About Me

Roderic Blackburn: Dr. Blackburn is an anthropologist by training, an architectural historian by inclination, and an antiquarian by habit. He is president of R. H. Blackburn & Associates, Inc., a multi-purpose corporation involved with regional real estate, historic preservation, publications on art and architecture with office in Kinderhook, NY. He was past president and trustee of the Columbia County Historical Society, and past officer and/or trustee of several other regional museums and historical agencies. Author and co-author of books and articles on New York history, Dutch culture, and architecture. He has been chairman of the Historic Preservation Commission, Village of Kinderhook, NY where he and family have resided in an early Dutch house since 1967.
